Yemen,GCC FMs' next meeting aims to address Yemen development issues

RIYADH, March 12 (Saba) –The meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the GCC countries and Yemen to be held next Tuesday in Sana'a aims to find a common vision to address Yemen development issues and the current challenges in light of London and Riyadh conferences' results, Yemen ambassador in Riyadh Mohamed al-Ahwal has said.

The ambassador told Saba that the meeting would discuss the underway preparations for convening Yemen Friends Conference and the GCC countries' role to support Yemen to face the different developmental and security challenges.

It would also deal with the relations between Yemen and the GCC countries and the coordination on the Arab and regional issues of common concern, in forefront of which is the arrangements for the next Arab summit to be held in Libya by the end of this month, al-Ahwal added.

He noted the development witnessed by the Yemeni-Gulf relations in the various areas, affirming that the meeting would discuss mechanisms to implement rehabilitation of Yemen economy to be integrated in the GCC countries economies in light of the decisions of the GCC summit held in Abu Dhabi in 2005.
