AFESD affirms support development plans in Yemen
[11/March/2010]

SANA'A, March 11 (Saba) - Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD) affirmed on Thursday its support to the development and construction plan in Yemen.

AFESD Board Chairman Abdullatif al-Hamad said, upon his departure from Sana'a, that the Fund backs Yemen's plans in projects of sanitation, electricity, public works and roads.

He said that he held talks with the Yemeni officials on the AFESD loaning program to Yemen in the future.

Yemen and AFESD signed last Wednesday two agreements, under which the Fund offers KD 22.5 million to help funding the rural roads development project and protection Sana'a from floods.
