Yemen to participate in Malaysia Tourism Exhibition for first time
[10/March/2010]

SANA'A, March 10 (Saba)- Yemen will participate, for the first time, in the Malaysia Tourism and Tour Exhibition to be kicked off on Friday in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur.

Minister of Tourism Nabil al-Faqih, head of the Yemeni participating delegation, said upon departure for Malaysia that this participation of Yemen comes within a plan set by the Tourism Promotion Board to open up new tourism markets in Malaysia and Eastern Asia.

The minister pointed out that Yemen's wing in the exhibition will present the Yemeni heritage and cultural tourism products in a way that appeals to all.

He also noted that he will hold talks with a number of tourist companies in Malaysia in order to insert Yemen in the Malaysian Tourism and Travel Guide as a proactive step to a number of agreements to be signed by Yemen and Malaysian tourism companies.
