SANA'A, March 10 (Saba) - Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD) accented on Wednesday keenness on reinforcing current and future cooperation relations with Yemen.
During his meeting with the Minister of Finance Nu'aman al-Suhaybi, AFESD's Director General Abdul Latif al-Hamad highlighted the reforms made by the government in few past years.
Al-Suhaybi briefed al-Hamad on the economic and financial challenges Yemen faces due to the fall in the oil production and prices in addition to emergent changes in the international economy, praising the AFESD's assistance to the development in Yemen.
The minister reviewed the achievements made by Yemen in the field of the enhancing fiscal management, affirming the State's commitment to move forward in carrying out the economic and financial reforms.
It is worth to mention that Yemen and AFESD signed on Wednesday two agreements, under which the Fund offers KD 22.5 million to help funding the rural roads development project and protection Sana'a from floods.
