Further talks for Yemen accession into WTO held

SANA'A, March 08 (Saba)- Minister of Industry and Trade Yahya al-Mutawakil talked Monday with the Japan ambassador to Sana'a Mitsunori Namba about the economic relations between the two countries and mechanisms to improve them.

The meeting discussed Yemen efforts to develop the industrial and commercial sector to improve industry in general.

They also shed lights on the bilateral negotiations between Yemen and Japan on the accession of Yemen into the World Trade Organization (WTO).

The minister renewed Yemen need for more flexibility by Japan, specially with regard to negotiations on entering goods to markets.

The Japanese ambassador, for his part, showed readiness to follow up the process of the bilateral negotiations in different aspects, affirming that Japan supports Yemen to join the WTO.
