London, Mar. 5. (Saba) British Premier Gordon Brown today defended his country's backing of the 2003 US led Invasion of Iraq, saying that it was "the right decision taken for the right reasons," according to Bahrain News Agency (BNA).

He was speaking to an inquiry into the conflict However, Brown also said that he is "saddened by the deaths of 179 British troops in the war."
