Yemen, WB review visit to China over fisheries experience

SANA'A, March 03 (Saba)- Fisheries Minister Mohammad Shamlan discussed on Wednesday with the World Bank consultant Jamal al-Harani the program visit to China next week, which will include Hadramout and Mahrah governors and fisheries concerned bodies, to exchange experience among south countries of the South.

The program visit, within UN-WB program, is aiming to facilitate exchange of experiences regarding the management of coastal areas, fisheries, improvement the livelihood and realizing the fishery products to improve the fishermen's incomes.

During the meeting, the WB consultant said the aim of the visit is to take advantage of the Chinese experience in the field of fisheries and to get acquainted with the fisheries activities in order to benefit from themin Yemen.

He pointed out that the Yemeni delegation will visit some famous areas in China to get briefed on ways of fisheries sustainable management.
