Al-Zahrani: Steps ongoing to establish Bahraini embassy in Yemen

SANA'A, Feb.17 (Saba) – The Bahrain's Parliament Speaker Khalifa Ahmad al-Zahrani pointed out on Wednesday that the steps are ongoing to establish a Bahraini embassy in Yemen which would contribute to boost the bilateral relations.

This came during a meeting gathered the Parliament's Speaker Yahya al-Rae'i and his Bahraini counterpart, al-Zahrani and his accompanying delegation, who is currently visiting Yemen.

Al-Rae'i welcomed the Bahraini delegation, affirming that the visit strengthens the brotherly ties between the two peoples of Yemen and Bahrain.

He added that this meeting represents an important step within the continuous meetings between the officials in the two countries and contributes to promoting the bilateral cooperation under the sponsorship of the political leaderships in the two countries.

In the meeting, al-Rae'i valued the supportive positions of Bahrain to Yemen and appreciated the care and attention given to the Yemeni community in Bahrain.

Al-Rae'i called upon the Yemeni-Bahraini joint parliamentary committee to activate its activity and to enhance its role in developing the bilateral cooperation via availing from the experiences and promoting the capacities and skills of the cadres in the two parliaments.

On another hand, al-Rae'i pointed out that there are a lot of investment opportunities in Yemen in the economic, productive and service sectors, noting to the advanced Yemeni laws that encourage businessmen to invest in Yemen and ensure them big facilities to develop their economic and trade activities.

For his part, al-Zahrani expressed his happiness and the accompanying delegation for visiting Yemen, saying "We feel as we are among our brothers in a Bahraini-Yemeni family because of the strong brotherly ties between the two peoples of Yemen and Bahrain".

Al-Zaharani considered security and stability of Yemen is a part of the security and stability of the Gulf and the region in general.

He affirmed Bahrain's keenness to support Yemen's efforts to maintain its unity, security, stability and development.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed a number of issues of the common concern.
