Official report: 20 draft laws, 18 agreements approved in 2009

SANA'A, Feb.09 (Saba) – The Cabinet reviewed on Tuesday the report of Minister of State for Parliamentary and Shura Council Affairs on the progress in implementation of the constitutional and legal procedures relating to the government's work at the parliament .

The report pointed out the number of draft laws that have been approved during the last year with a total of 20 draft laws as well as the endorsement of eight loan agreements, two international conventions and eight oil agreements.

Meanwhile, the report indicated that a total of 40 draft laws in addition to ten bilateral, regional and international agreements have been presented by the government and referred by the standing committees to the parliament, pointing that the number of loan agreements being studied by the standing committees amounts to four agreements.

The report showed the draft laws and agreements discussed by the parliament and its standing committees during the parliament's sessions from its previous and current terms.
