Al-Arhabi: Yemen concerns to enhance trade movement with GCC

SANA'A, Feb. 09 (Saba)- Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul Kareem al-Arhabi affirmed on Tuesday concern of the Yemeni government to enhance the trade movement between Yemen and countries of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

In a meeting with the visiting he Secretary General of GCC Standardization Organization Anwar al-Abdullah, the deputy prime minister praised recent decision taken by the GCC summit which stated to accept membership of Yemen in the GCC Standardization Organization, considering it as step to join Yemen in the GCC bloc.

Al–Arhabi also highlighted Yemeni-GCC relations, saying that the GCC countries are key trade partner of Yemen.

For his part, the GCC official said that the accession of Yemen into the GCC standardization organization official was started in beginning of this year and would contribute to enhance movement of the Yemeni products to the GCC markets.
