President Saleh receives call from Somali president

SANA'A, Jan. 03 (Saba)-President Ali Abdullah Saleh received on Sunday a phone call from President of Somalia Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed in which he briefed president Saleh on latest developments in Somalia.

The Somali president expressed condemnation for a statement issued by leaders of extremists "Mujahidian Youths" in which they threatened to send terrorists to support al-Qaeda network in Yemen.

He confirmed that the Somali government would work to enhance security coordination with Yemen by offering information about any terror activities might be launched from Somali territories targeting stability and security of Yemen and the region.

He also highlighted support of Yemen for Somalia in preserving its security and stability as well as receiving and offering care for Somali refugees.

For his part, president Saleh renewed support of Yemen for stability and security of Somalia, saying that security of Somalia is a key part of security of Yemen.
