Yemenia transports 203 families as funerals for Comoros crash victims due
[28/November/2009]

MORONI, Nov. 28 (Saba) – The Yemenia Airways transported on Saturday to Comoros 203 families of the victims from the crash of one of its airplanes into the Indian Ocean on June 30, 2009.

A delegation from the airlines led by director of the Air Services Wazeer al-Yabory accompanied the families on the flight from France to the Moroni airport.

The flight had a stopover at the Sana'a International Airport.

The families attend the burials of their relatives on Sunday and Monday in the Comorian capital of Moroni, al-Yabory said, adding the Yemenia delegation will take part in the funerals.

Eight bodies of the other victims will be transported to Sana'a by the delegation on Tuesday, he said.

On June 30, the flight 626, an airbus A310 flying from Sana'a, Yemen, to Moroni, plunged into the ocean off Comoros with 153 passengers and crew members onboard.

The only survivor from the disaster was a French teenager, 14.
