Yemen talks security issues with UNHCR

SANA'A, Nov. 18 (Saba) - Yemen and United National High Commissioner Refugees (UNHCR) discussed here on Wednesday aspects of security coordination between Yemen and UNHCR.

Minister of Interior Mutahir al-Masri held talks with Deputy Regional Director for Middle East and North Africa of UNHCR over the conditions of refugees coming form the Horn of Africa, particularly Somali refugees and economic and social burdens caused by the refugees in Yemen.

During the meeting, al-Masri praised the efforts of UNHCR in the field of cooperation with the security authorities on the refugees' issues.

For his part, UNHCR official expressed readiness to support and share the burden of refugees' issues with Yemen, praising the Yemeni government's efforts in this regard.
