French companies to implement fisheries projects at €150 mln

SANA'A, Nov. 08 (Saba) - Two French companies, Euromer and Siquiera companies, announced on Sunday their intention to invest a sum of €150 million to implement fisheries projects on the country's coastal line.

The projects include the implementation of tuna fattening project, manufacturing fisheries boats and establishing typical market for fish sale through the stock exchange and others.

Minister of Fisheries Mohammad Shamlan and the two companies' directors agreed on forming a specialized team from the Ministry and the two companies to prepare a memorandum of understanding between the two sides to be signed in the coming period.

During the meeting, Shamlan hailed the French investment in fisheries field, referring to Yemen's huge resources in the fisheries field in the coastal line which provide a lot of investment opportunities.
