Yemen, WB hold official talks

SANA'A, Nov. 07 (Saba) - Yemen and World Bank (WB) held on Saturday an official talks session headed by Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi and the WB Vice President for Middle East and North Africa region, Shamshad Akhtar.

Al-Arhabi hailed the keenness shown by the WB in supporting the reforms and development process in Yemen.

He also affirmed the importance of supporting the future development trends of the WB to Yemen according to its development requirements, reviewing the overall challenges still impeding Yemen's development.

The Minister also noted Yemen's keenness to promote the current and future cooperation with the WB, affirming the WB's active role in supporting Yemen's development and helping it in facing these
challenges.

The aspects of cooperation between Yemen and the WB as well as the
nature of difficulties facing Yemen were reviewed.

For her part, the WB Vice President affirmed the WB's readiness to promote support aspects for Yemen.

She also pointed out that Yemen possesses a high rank on the WB's priorities, showing the WB's care to enhance the future support trends to match the country's priorities development needs.
