Yemen, CHF discuss remedial education in schools
[03/November/2009]

HAJJAH, Nov. 03 (Saba)- Deputy Hajjah governor Jamal al-Aqil launched on Tuesday with official of CHF's ACCESS-Plus program the remedial education in targeted schools in Ebbas, Harad and Midi districts of the governorate.

The program includes providing sustainable services by targeting six schools with computers, chairs, tables and cupboards as well as the provision of bags, school uniforms and school supplies for 426 boys and girls.

Al Aqil praised efforts of CHF's ACCESS-Plus program in combating child labor in Yemen, pointing out to the importance of these specific programs in addressing child problems, particularly smuggling and dropouts from school.

For his part, CHF's ACCESS-Plus official affirmed readiness of providing further humanitarian services to children and the possibility of expanding activities at the level of other schools.
