Govt protect s press freedom, says al Lawzi

SANA'A, Nov. 03 (Saba)- Yemen's government concerns to protect press freedom, a spokesperson of the cabinet said on Tuesday.

In his weekly press conference, the spokesperson and who is also information minister replied on recent criticisms for government over decreasing level of press and expression freedom in the country by saying that the level of freedom of expression is unlimited.

He pointed out to the acts committed by some newspapers which disagreed with the law, saying that the ministry dealt with these acts legally.

About latest sentences against some newspapers, al Lawzi said that the ministry respects the judiciary, saying that those newspapers have right to appeal sentences.
