Canada to open trade office in Yemen soon

ARBAT, Nov 03 (Saba) - Canada has decided to open a trade office in Yemen in preparation to open a Canadian Embassy in Sana'a in the future.

The statement has been announced by Canadian Foreign Minister Lawrence Cannon during a meeting with the Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Mohi Adeen al-Dhabi in the Moroccan capital Rabat on the sidelines of the sixth conference of Future Forum.

Cannon affirmed his country's support for the government's efforts against al-Houthi rebellion in Saada province, accentuating his Canada's keenness on security and stability of Yemen.

The meeting discussed bilateral cooperation relations between both countries as well as ways strengthening them.

The two sides also reviewed the latest developments in the Middle East and issues of common concern.
