Ill-fated Yemenia plane investigation to be continued
[26/October/2009]

SANA'A, Oct. 26 (Saba) - The Yemeni, French and Comorian joint committee for investigating the Yemenia Airbus 310 crash off Comoros Islands is to hold a meeting by the end of the 2009 to continue its investigation on the reasons behind the accident.

An official source in the Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority (CAMA) said on Monday that the Yemeni committee is now studying and investigating the data recorders of the plane's two black boxes.

The Yemenia Airbus 310 jetliner flying from Yemen to the Comoros Islands with 153 people on board crashed last June 30th off the coast of Moroni Islands.

The accidents caused the death of 152 passengers and left only one survivor of a 14-year-old girl.
