5 Houthi suspects arrested
[21/October/2009]

SANA'A, Oct. 21 (Saba) - Sana'a police have arrested five people, aged 25-39, on suspicion of having links to the rebels in Yemen's northern Saada province, the Interior Ministry has reported.

Two suspects were captured in Azal district, and a third, 35, captured in Mueen district while inciting the people to fight and kill the troops in Saada.

The forth and fifth suspects were arrested in Bani -al-Hareth district on the way for the province where the army has been battling the insurgents since August.

Over the last two days, the security authorities in Sana'a seized about fifty persons on suspicion of linking to the Houthi sedition, most with direct ties to the rebels.

Meanwhile, a military source said that the military forces launched a successful operation kill 22 rebels, arresting seven others and capturing two cars carrying various weapons including an 81-sized mortar, 12.7 machine gun and rocket-propelled grenades RPGs.

Houthis suffered big losses in this operation.
