Agricultural development project's studies in Abyan discussed

ABYAN, Oct.18 (Saba) - Governor of Abyan Ahmed al-Maisari discussed here on Sunday with Chairman of an Egyptian Consulting company the measures related to executing studies of the agricultural development project in a number of Abyan province districts.

The project financed by Islamic Development Bank (IDB) includes various projects in water and agriculture sectors at a total cost of $15 million.

In the meeting, al-Maisari affirmed the importance of this project which will contribute to improving the agriculture and water sectors in the province, as Abyan is one of the main agricultural areas in the county.

The project includes carrying out a number of irrigation ditches with modern irrigation styles and building water barriers as well as different agricultural projects in the province.
