UN official affirms donors' support to humanitarian efforts in Yemen

SANA'A, Oct.11 (Saba) - United Nations Under-Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs John Holmes affirmed on Sunday the support of donors addressed to contribute to the humanitarian efforts towards the displaced people due to the rebellion war in Saada province.

During his meeting with Prime Minister Ali Mujawar, Holmes voiced his hope that the relief teams can reach the war-affected areas to enhance the humanitarian efforts towards the affected inhabitants.

The meeting dealt with the current coordination between the governmental authorities and the non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in this regard and the facilities offered by the government to enable these organizations to contribute to the humanitarian efforts towards the displaced.

He praised the level of arrangement in the displaced camp in Hajjah province the level of humanitarian care presented to the families there.

Mujawar voiced the government's appreciation for the international relief efforts which back up the government's efforts in lodging the citizens, noting the popular support to those efforts and the role of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in this respect.

The premier indicated the government's adherence to the international law on protecting the displaced people.
