Yemen seeks bilateral cooperation with IFES

SANA'A, Oct. 07 (Saba)- Yemen held talks on Wednesday with the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) on aspects of strengthening mutual cooperation between the Supreme Committee for Elections and Referendum (SCER) and IFES

SCER Chairman Khalid al-Sharef discussed with IFES director of Middle East and North Africa Zainab AbdulKarim and the international election expert of IFES on the possibilities of supporting the future plans in the fields of training, rehabilitation, institutional capacities, election awareness and strengthening women's participation in the electoral process .

Al-Sharef praised all the technical and consultative support by the IFES during the previous electoral process, expressing his wishes to continue this support during the next period to promote electoral process in Yemen.
