Preachers guide on girls education to be approved

SANA'A, July 08 (Saba)- Unit of Girls Education in the Ministry of Religious Endowment and Islamic Affairs and UNICEF are organizing for two days a workshop to approve a preachers guide on girls education.

The two-day workshop is participated by Islamic guidance leaderships and representatives of concerned bodies from Sana'a, Dhalei, Lahj, Abyan, Ibb, Taiz, and Hadhramout.

In the workshop opening, Minister of Religious Endowment and Islamic Affairs Hmoud al-Hitar appreciated the achieved steps on girls education field.

He made reference to his ministry's role in society awareness on the importance of girls education and the achievements of the ministry's Research and Studies Center on preparing courses and studies dealing with girls education.

He confirmed that the Islamic religion gives women all their life rights, topped by the right of education, briefing that women get all care by the government and have became a real partner in different life fields.

Al-Hitar appreciated the high level of cooperation between the ministry and UNICEF in different fields.

For his part, information officer of UNISEF Nasim al-Rahman pointed out that girls education is a religious duty and a humanitarian necessity, mentioning the role of educated women in the social development process.
