SCER, IFES organize course on election system

SANA'A, July 04 (Saba)- In collaboration with International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), the Supreme Commission for Election and Referendum organized on Saturday an international training program on election system for 56 SCER staff.

The international training program is aiming to increase the participants knowledge over the different electoral systems, how to plan programs for voter education and the role of non-governmental organizations in this area.

At the opening of the course, chairman of SCER Technical Affairs Mohammed al-Sayani and Country Director of IFES Yemen Peter Williams pointed out that this course is an extension of the sessions that were organized
during the past period in the framework of international capacity-building in the areas of governance, democracy and elections.
