Yemen to host ACIT 2009

SANA'A, July 04 (Saba) - Sana'a is to host the 10th International Arab Conference on Information Technology (ACIT 2009) in coming December.

The conference is organized by the University of Sciences and Technology and under the framework of Arab University Union.

It aims to discuss the latest technical development in the world and means of developing the educational process in the Arab University Union to deal with the huge development of electronic production and information systems.

Speaking to Saba, the conference coordinator Amar al-Zahari said that the conference will be held in 15-17 December with the participation of academics and experts from Arab and international universities.

The conference will also discuss scientific and research papers in computers networks, artificial intelligence, natural languages processing and software engineering as well as other fields.

The coordinator also indicated that the University of Sciences and Technology won the hosting of the conference among 12 Arab universities entered the competition to host it.

The conference will be supervised by a permanent committee consisting of 19 members and a tribunal consisting of 195 experts and professionals in the fields of computers and information technology from Arab and foreign countries, he added.
