Al-Faqih flies to Moroni

SANA'A, July 04 (Saba) – Minister of Tourism Nabil al-Faqih flew Saturday to Moroni, capital of the Comoros Republic, on a visit during which he will convey a Saleh verbal letter to President of the Islands Ahmed Abdullah Sambi.

The letter deals with the bilateral relationship and means to to boost mutual cooperation in various fields.

Al-Faqih will also offer Yemen's condolences to the leadership and the people of the Islands of Comoros for the victims of the Yemenia flight crash.

The Airbus 310-300 flight IY 626 crashed into the Indian Ocean last week with 153 people onboard.

On the visit, al-Faqih will meet with Comorian officials to discuss the bilateral effort to search for bodies and the debris of the airplane as well ongoing investigations into the crash.

On the other hand, Foreign minister of Comoros is due in Yemen on Sunday for a visit to convey a verbal message to President Ali Abdullah Saleh from his Comorian counterpart.
