Oil minister briefed on activities of oil companies in Hadramout

SAYOAN, July 02 (Saba)- Minister of Oil and Minerals Amr al-Adaros paid a visit to get acquaintance with activities of Canadian Calvalley Petroleum company in block # 9 in Hadramout.

The minister listened from the director of the company on the production of the company in 2006 as it was between 5,000 to 5,500 barrels per day.

He urged the company to increase its daily production of oil and benefit from gas coming out with oil to set up gas power station for the company.

The minister insisted that the company should give priority for employment for citizens of the region, pointing out to the importance of safety measures by the company during its production activities.

During his meeting with citizens of the region where the company is working, the minister called the citizens to make good relations with the company to enable the company to do its work.

Meanwhile, the minister visited location of Chinese Snopak Company in block # 71 in Hadramout governorate where he listened from the officials of the company about its activities.

The minister wished success for the company.
