Yemen, JICA sign technical cooperation agreement

SANA'A, July 01 (Saba) – Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed on Wednesday the technical cooperation agreement for training the Yemeni cadre in the marine technical institute in Aden governorate.

Minister of Technical Cooperation and Vocational Training Ibrahim Hajri and JICA's resident representative in Yemen signed the treaty.

The agreement includes providing 28 training scholarships in the field of fisheries to students of Aden Marine Technical Institute to cover local markets of qualified cadres.

According to the treaty, the students will get their training in Tunisia. The scholarships are distributed in several specializations; 11 in fields of marine mechanic, eight in electricity and nine in field of cooling technology. They will be provided through three phases during the period ( 2009-2011).
