Yemen, UNICEF discuss cooperation in child protection

SANA'A, July 01 (Saba) - Yemen and UNICEF discussed here on Wednesday mutual cooperation relations in field of child protection.

Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Amat al-Razaq Humad held talks with UNICEF representative in Yemen Aboudou Karimou Abjibade on the level of implementation in the protection of children and juvenile and child smuggling.

The talks dealt with the UNICEF-supported issues concerning childhood and building capacities for the cadres working in the institutions interested in this regard.

The two officials reviewed the implementation progress in the plan approved in cooperation with the government concerning childhood and youth, affirming the significance in issuing the childhood legislations.

UNICEF official hailed the government achievements in this regard under the international agreements.
