SEYUN, May 10 (Saba) - Director General of Agriculture Office in Hadramout valley Omer Karamah said on Sunday a large number of desert locusts spread in desert areas.

In a statement to Saba, Karamah said that the National Desert Locust Monitoring and Controlling Center implemented the field survey during the last April on the breeding areas of the locusts in each of Hadramout, Mahrah and Shabwa governorates infected areas of about 41 thousand and 128 hectares.

Karamah called concerned authorities to intervene quickly to face the danger spread of the desert locusts.
