Yemeni-Iraqi higher education cooperation discussed

SANA'A, April 19 (Saba) - Yemen and Iraq discussed here on Sunday the bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries in the academic and higher education fields.

During a meeting between the Prime Minister Ali Mujawar and the Iraqi Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Abd Thiab al-Ajeeli, Mujawar affirmed the specificity of Yemeni-Iraqi relations in various areas, particularly in the higher education sector.

The Premier also highlighted the contributions of Iraqi universities to accommodate Yemeni students in scientific levels, pointing out to the importance of developing the joint work mechanisms to enhance future cooperation in this area to serve the common interests of both countries.

For his part, the Iraqi Minister affirmed his country's keenness on rooting the brotherly relations with Yemen in all areas, expressing the readiness of Iraqi universities to receive Yemeni students, as well as advancing the academic communication between the two countries.
