Yemen, IFAD discuss future cooperation

ROMA, March 06 (Saba)-Yemeni ambassador to Roma Shaia Muhsin Mohammed held a meeting on Friday with the new president of the UN International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) Kanayo Nwanze over future cooperation between the UN agency and Yemen.


They also discussed work process in several projects implemented by the agency in Yemen in field of agriculture, livestock wealth and rural development.

The ambassador highlighted contributions of the UN agency to support of the agricultural development in Yemen, wishing active role for the fund in this regard.

The IFAD president revealed that there were new studies to carry out new projects in Yemen, which would be financed by the fund in coming period.
