SCER discuss international support

SANA'A, Mar. 02 (Saba)- The Supreme Commission for Elections Referenda (SCER) reviewed on Monday with the International Foundation for Elections Systems (IFES) aspects of the bilateral support between the commission and the foundation in the field of elections and means of reinforcing this kind of cooperation.

Head of Parties and Civil Society Organizations at the SCER Mohammed al-Sayani studied with the IFES official, Ibi Dupont, cooperation in developing institutional construction and qualifying and training capacities of the commission, in addition in awareness and women empowerment.

The meeting also dealt with results of revising and amending voters lists and mechanism taken by the commission to update the electoral registry.

The IFES official affirmed readiness of the foundation to continue the technical and consultative support for the SCER during the coming period in order to reinforce and improve its capacities.
