Yemen, USAID conclude course on marriage age

AMERAN, Feb. 24 (Saba) - Yemeni Women Union in collaboration with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) concluded on Tuesday a training course in the area of awareness on marriage age of girls.

The course aims to acquaint 40 participants with the dangers of early marriage, spreading of awareness and dissemination of the culture of social protection in the suitable age for marriage.

At the conclusion of the course, general secretary of local council in Amran province Saleh Makhlos affirmed the importance of such courses to raise awareness of the parent's commitment in the age of safe marriage on the level of various social categories.
