SCER, IFES discuss cooperation

SANA'A, Dec. 30 (Saba)- Head of the Technical and Planning sector at the Supreme Commission of Elections and Referendum (SCER), Mohammed al-Sayani held a meeting with the executive director of the International Foundation for Election Systems IFES in Sana'a Better Williams over technical cooperation between the commission and the IFES.

They also reviewed outcomes of the revising phase for the voters' lists which resulted in discovering 165,000 cases of repeating and under legal age.

Al-Sayani briefed the IFES official on the legal measures taken by the commission to refer these cases to the prosecution.

The IFES voiced readiness of the foundation to offer technical assistance to the SCER in this regard, highlighting efforts of the commission during the phase of revision.
