Yemen, Philippines discuss higher education cooperation

MANILA, Dec. 04(Saba)- Yemen and the Philippines held talks on Wednesday over agreements of cultural and scientific cooperation between the two countries .

In a meeting co-chaired by Deputy Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research Abdul-Kareem al-Rawdi and Philippine Minister of Higher Education Emmanuel Jimenez, the two sides asserted the importance of strengthing cooperation in the fields of higher education.

Al-Rawdi confirmed Yemeni keenness to get benefit from Philippines' experience in this field as well as in the academic accreditation.

He made clear that the agreement included exchanging and training of teachers in English language, reviewing Yemeni experiences development process in higher education field.

Meanwhile, al-Rawdi also discussed with deputy chairman of Philippines University Lisa the possibility of establishing direct cooperation between universities of both countries.
