President attends ceremony on Independence Day in Aden

ADEN, Nov. 29 (Saba)-President Ali Abdullah Saleh attended on Saturday a ceremony held in 22 May Stadium in Aden city on 41st anniversary of Independence Day. 

President of Djibouti Omer Guelleh  attended the ceremony.

In the ceremony, president Saleh delivered a speech in which he congratulated Yemenis inside and outside of the country on this occasion, pointing out to the sacrifices exerted by martyrs to get freedom and independence of the country.

He said that the reunification represents honor and dignity of the nation as well as strength of the Yemeni people who had suffered from colonialism and mama ruling.

The Unity is security and stability, he added.

President Saleh highlighted great achievements under the unification, saying that the security and stability mean economic and social development.

He called on all for adopting dialogue for security and stability of the nation.

Saleh called on "sleeping cells after 1994 events" for dialogue and benefiting from the decision of amnesty.

He concluded his speech by renewing congratulations for all Yemeni people on this occasion.
