Islamic Journalism Association's 3rd Conference commences in Sana'a

SANA'A, Nov. 20 (Saba)-The Third Conference of Islamic Journalism Association commenced its activities here on Thursday.

Minister of Information Hassan Allowzi said in a speech in the opening ceremony of the conference, we are in badly need of the moderate journalism calling for charity, peace and love that refuses fanaticism, exaggeration, extremism, terrorism and all forms of racism.

The minister noted to journalism development in Yemen and the great achievements it has realized in serving the nation, affirming that some strains and trespasses practiced in some newspapers are defaming clearness of Yemeni journalism.

He stressed importance that Islamic journalism should serve Islam and its ideal values calling for tolerance love.

For his part, Chairman of Islamic Journalism Association Sheikh Ahmad Assuwian affirmed in his speech that Yemen is the origin of Arabism, wisdom and strategic deepness of the Arab countries.

" Integration between the Information Ministry and the association does not only give the association moral support but also asserts on integration between Civil Society Organizations and concerned ministries for promoting situation of the nation and curing its problems as much as possible," said Assuwian.
