44 insolvent prisoners set free

SANA'A, Nov. 19 (Saba)-The Public Prosecution set free 44 insolvent prisoners in Sana'a city on Wednesday, within directives of President Ali Abdullah Saleh to release 254 insolvent prisoners from
jails across the country.

In his statement to Saba, the Attorney General Abdullah al-Ulofi said that the president Saleh paid YR 127 million on behalf of these insolvent prisoners.

The release was based on registration prepared by the office of the attorney general after recent field visits to jails in all governorates of the country.

He made it clear that the general prosecution released 300 insolvent prisoners after a charitable man paid on behalf of them YR 115 million.
