IUMS secretary general arrives in Yemen

SANA'A, Nov.10 (SABA)- The secretary general of the International Union for Muslim Scholars (IUMS) Dr.Mohammed Saleem Al-Awa arrived on Monday in Sana'a.

During his visit, al-Awa will deliver several lectures and will attend  several cultural and religious symposiums  in Sana'a.

al-Awa indicated that the lectures, which would be organized by the General Authority for Books, will spotlight on several concepts including pluralism, constitutional development and extremism, in addition to the reality of terrorism and the fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence) in the way of modernization.

Al-Awa will also deliver a lecture on the mosque message at the Alsaleh Mosque in Sana'a.

Moreover, al-Awa will meet with Yemeni officials at the ministries of Culture and Endowments and Guidance to discuss means to boost cooperation with the union the two ministries in the cultural, intellectual and religious areas.
