SCER head to take part in US presidential elections observation

SANA'A, Oct 31 (Saba) - Chairman of the Supreme Commission for Elections SCER and Referendum Khalid Abdul Wahab al-Sharif has headed to Washington to take part in observation of the activities of the US presidential elections.

The proceedings will take place next month.

Al-Sharif said his participation comes in response to the invitation of the international Foundation for Election Systems IFES.

On the visit, al-Sharif will familiarize himself with the US electoral system particularly from technical, legal and awareness aspects in an effort to learn from the US election experiences to develop mechanisms of the electoral activities in Yemen.
