SCER asks for European monitoring on 2009 parliament election

SANA'A, Oct. 14 (Saba) - Supreme Commission for Election and Referendum (SCER) has extended an invitation to the European Commission (EC) to take part in monitoring the procedures of the parliament election of 2009.

The invitation was extended during a meeting gathered Head of the Foreign Relations Sector at the SCER Ja'afar Ba-Saleh and the director of the EC office in Sana'a.

The meeting reviewed steps the SCER taken to prepare for the revise of the voters' lists in addition to discussing the cooperation aspects between SCER and EC in the electoral field.
