Yemen, Nuffic discusses technical education, vocational training cooperation

SANA'A, Oct.12 (Saba) - Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training Ibrahim Hajri discussed here on Sunday with mission of the Netherlands Organization for International Cooperation (Nuffic) ways of reinforcing technical education and vocational training.

The talks dealt with the condition of higher technical education project funded by the Dutch government which started three years ago and to be extended to 2009.

The project of higher technical education include new disciplines such as information management, business and engineering networks and communications engineering and electronic engineering.

The meeting also dealt with the importance of project to develop the institutional building capacities of Technical Education and Vocational Training Ministry.

Both sides affirmed the importance of developing the future cooperation between the two countries in various fields, particularly in the field of training, rehabilitation, scholarships and expansion of vocational and technical institutes.
