Yemen welcomes Swedish investors

SANA'A, Oct. 12 (Saba) - Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi welcomed on Sunday Swedish investments in Yemen.

During his meeting with Non-resident Swedish ambassador to Sana'a, al-Qirbi affirmed Yemen's keenness on promoting the cooperation with Sweden particularly in the area of investments.

He expressed the aspiration of Yemeni government to be granted more Swedish assistance to support development fields and building capacities to combat terrorism, in addition to increasing human aid for refugees.

For his part, the Swedish diplomat praised effort of the Yemeni government to in areas of receiving Somali refugees, fighting against terrorism and encountering piracy in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea.

On the other hand, Foreign Minister held talks with the UNICEF representative in Yemen Aboudou Karimou Adjibade on the UN-funded programs in Yemen to overcome economic, social, culture, health and security challenges.
