Yemen to take part in International Conference of Parliament Union

SANA'A, Oct. 11 (Saba )- A parliamentarian delegation, led by deputy Parliament Speaker of the Yemeni Parliament Hamear Al-Ahmar, headed for Geneva on Saturday to take part in the 119th International Conference of Parliament Union which will be held during 13-15 October .

In a statement to Saba, Al-Ahmar said that the conference will focus on the agenda which will be discussed in the next round of the conference which is expected to be held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopian capital, in 2009.

The conference will discuss the role of parliamentarians and members of the union in activating the prohibition of nuclear weapons agreements and climate changes as well as freedom of expression.

Al-Ahmar added that the conference will address the amendments to development the union activities in addition to a number of reporters presented by the United Nations affairs committee, Middle East committee and human rights parliamentarian committee.
