MAREB, Oct. 11 (Saba)- Minister of Electricity and Energy Awad al-Socatri stated on Saturday that the ministry would start checking up operation of the components for Mareb Gas Power Plant by next Saturday.

In a statement to Saba, al-Socatri said that 90 percent of works in the station project achieved, saying that the project would help in reducing power shortage across the country.

Meanwhile, the minister along with Mareb governor Naji al-Zaidi held a meeting with the officials of the generating stations in the gas plant over needs of the governorate from electricity.
