SANA'A, Oct. 11(Saba)- Transport Minister Khaled al-Wazir discussed with delegation of US Cornell Group of International Consulting Company preparations for national strategy for Yemeni ports.

The meeting dealt with preparations for constructing Hadramout new port in Broom district on an area estimated at 11, 8 million square meters.

Al-Wazir affirmed importance of the strategy, for its one of its kind fixing general direction for Yemeni ports to reach their aims over 30 years, noting that the government has earlier called on for invitation in Adhabah port in the governorate for its economic importance.

Worth mentioning that the study for improving Yemeni ports, financed by the World Bank, aims at diagnosing Yemeni port situations, evaluating their future situation and advantages of each one for reaching to future prospect on the ports.
