Arab surgeons arrive in Yemen to take part in sixth Arab Spine Conference

SANA'A, Oct 11 (Saba) – A number of Arab neurosurgeons have arrived in Yemen to take part in the 6th Arab Spine Conference to start later in the day as well as the coinciding 1st Yemeni Neurosurgeons Conference.

The arriving included head of the Egyptian Society of Neurosurgical Surgeons Rushdi al-Khayat and professor of spine surgery Mumdooh Salamah, secretary of the Society of Neuroscientist of Africa (SONA) Muhammad al-Faqqi as well as former Jordanian Health minister, Adel al-Sharidah, professor of neurosciences, assistant secretary general of brain and nerve surgery Sharif Ezat and head of brain and nerve surgery department at the Jordanian Medicine University Ahmed al-Tamimi.

The three-day sixth Arab Spinal Column Conference will discuss 120 research papers dealing with the latest scientific developments in the field of brain and nerve and backbone surgeries as well as advancements linked to natural medicine and x-rays sensitivity and other related issues.

Yemeni Neuroscientists will try to learn from the experiences of the Arab counterparts and other foreign Neuroscientists participating in the conference to draw up a national strategy to down the numbers of people affected by nerve, brain and spine diseases.
