Yemen, FAO discuss cooperation ties

SANA'A, Oct. 07 (Saba ) - Prime Minister Dr. Ali Mohammed Mujuwar has met with Resident Representative of UN food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Dr. Hashim al-Shami on the end of his mission in Yemen.

The meeting dealt with cooperation relations between Yemen and FAO and means of developing them in fields of agriculture, fishery, studies and researches related to strengthening food security.

Mujuwar hailed al-Shami's efforts to enhance the joint work between Yemen and FAO, wishing him success in his future duties and Yemen's cooperation ties with FAO further development.

For his part, al-Shami expressed appreciation to the government for its cooperation with FAO office in Sana'a which contributed to boosting its activities and increasing cooperation programs with Yemen.

He confirmed FAO continues providing the support and interest to Yemen in order to improve and serve the joint goals of food security and agricultural and fishery development.

Prime Minister asked al-Shami to convey his greetings to FAO General Director Jacques Diouf and wished him the best of health and happiness.
